Our current chaplaincy site on Elmwood Avenue is in need of a major upgrade to ensure that it is fit for purpose and can serve as a hub of mission here at Queen's well into the future.
Works are underway and we plan to re-open in the Autumn of 2025.
For the first time in our long history, we will be able to provide students with a residential offering. We are working to redevelop redundant space into high-quality value-led accommodation for upwards of 50 students as well as upgrading chaplaincy facilities on the ground floor to make our space more inviting and comfortable.
Our much-loved Chapel space is being reimagined by internationally renowned liturgical art studio Centro Ave.
This includes the provision of a long-term Director of Campus Ministry, a peer outreach team through our partnership with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) and mental health and wellbeing services. This will provide students with opportunities to grow in faith and make connections so that they can become tomorrow’s much-needed agents of change.
This will enable us to invest in the continued development of our faith and pastoral support and can only come about with sustained financial investment. Our renewed physical infrastructure and the development of a well-run profit-generating student accommodation service will enable this to become a reality.
