“Welcome to the Catholic Chaplaincy at Queen’s University Belfast!
We know that the transition to university from school and home, perhaps even from another country, is an exciting time full of promise. However, we also know that it is not without challenge.
We’d love for you to connect with us and benefit from the faith and pastoral support we offer so that you can thrive and reach your full potential here at Queen’s. Many of our students tell us that Chaplaincy has been a home from home for them where they’ve experienced welcome, hospitality and support. We want the same for you.”

You can find us just down University Road, an ideal spot to study, grab a coffee with friends or take some time to pray.
Looking for community? Joining one of our groups is a great way to meet new people and to grow in your faith with others.
The lifeblood of Chaplaincy is our student volunteers committed to serving others, not only their peers, but also those in need, at home and abroad. In their faces, we see the face of Christ himself. Here are ways Chaplaincy can help you to serve others:
Collecting and distributing essential items to those who have fallen on hard times in our city. This project is our annual Christmas shoebox appeal.
Helping those experiencing homelessness to transition to sheltered housing comfortably.
Raising awareness of poverty in Belfast through leaflet drops, clothes collections and fundraising.
Supporting refugees and those seeking asylum with English language classes and other practical supports. This project is an initiative of the Students’ Union
Providing overseas aid through the Catholic Church’s official channel. This involves fundraising through bake sales, ‘Trad for Trócaire’ and the Belfast City Marathon.
Raising awareness and fundraising for the Holy Family Maternity Hospital in Bethlehem.
